LOG BARN 1912
4782 Hwy 97A (see map below)
You’ve probably driven by and wondered “what is this place”. Well it’s a store with some local produce, pies, candy, cured meats, trinkets and ice cream. But it’s also a bit of a playground of random amusement. You can hang out on the grounds for free visiting the live goats and ponies; and the not-so-live dinosaurs, dragons, lions, pirates, bears, elephants… *runs out of space to list all the things*
2. MCLEOD PARK
2484 Sidney Cres (see map below)
3. FARMSTRONG CIDERY
4300 Maw Rd (see map below)
Drive out into the country, and when you think you’ve gone too far… boom Farmstrong! Amazing reclaimed barn and super yummy cider. We LOVED the extra dry pear. For those with tiny people in tow, they have grilled cheese and chips on the menu plus little buckets of toys. Drinks + toys = everybody wins.
4. WILD OAK CAFE
2539 Pleasant Valley Blvd (see map below)
Awesome little coffee shop! And they have a kids’ corner! Coffee + toys = everybody wins.
5. MEMORIAL PARK
3285 Pleasant Valley Rd (see map below)
One of the absolute best parks around! You feel like a little fairy in an enchanted forest. Big trees, music playing, playground, outdoor exercise equipment, splash pad and pool.
